Wednesday thru Sunday
Country-bred women Granny Grump and her daughters Sassy Sal and Lispin' Lil lived peacefully on the Grump Family Farm. One day those pesky city slickers Miss Petty Greed and Billy buck Banks disrupted their happy home by trying to foreclose the farm and turn it into a "re-sort". Will a stranger from New York City of all places be able to rescue the Grumps from this fate and allow them to have a merry Christmas?
The Oklahoma Children's Theatre presents "The Twelve Days of Christmas." A frigid 1980 Christmas Eve inspired Executive Director Lyn Adams to write the script. She found herself huddled in a telephone booth on an English country road waiting for a taxi. To occupy her mind from the cold, Adams began singing "The Twelve Days of Christmas," but she couldn't make it past "five golden rings." Instead, Adams created her own words.
