Book Rock rocks Moore library

The Moore Public Library presents its first after-hours, teen concert on Friday, November 4, at 7 p.m. in the meeting rooms of the library, 225 S. Howard.

Boston rock duo Harry & the Potters will present their program of original songs based upon the popular Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. The songs, written and performed by brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge, include such Potter-inspired numbers as Gryffindor Rocks, the Missing Arm of Viktor Krum and Save Ginny Weasley.

Tickets are required for admission to the concert which will also include a Harry Potter character costume contest, food, and a meet-and-greet with the performers. The event is scheduled to end at 9:30 p.m.

The free tickets may be picked up at any of the hometown public libraries of the Pioneer Library System in Cleveland, McClain, and Pottawatomie counties. The limited number of tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The quirky, punk rock, tribute band, performing in costume as Harry Year 4 and Harry Year 7, has performed at college, library, and teen venues across the nation. The Moore library is the only Oklahoma stop on the band’s second cross-country tour.

The concert is presented with the support of the library, the Pioneer Library System, the Moore Area Arts & Humanities Council, and other local sponsors.
