Shoes for girls in OCAG

Girls in OCAG need two basic types of shoes. Black Character Shoes and a pair of black soft soled shoes.
The Black Character Shoe is probably the most expensive single costume item you have to buy. The good thing is that OCAG uses these shoes for most of their productions.
As examples, I'm including four links here. You'll see that all four shoes look similar. The first has a one inch heel, the second has a 1 1/2 inch heel, the third has a 2 inch heel and the fourth has a 3 inch heel.

Remember, these are just examples. You don’t want to buy these shoes online because the shoe sizes run differently than regular shoes. The best place to find dance shoes in Oklahoma City are the Show Biz Dancewear Boutiques. I know of three of them. There is one at 4427 NW 63rd Street, their number is 840-4406, one is at 10625 S Western (691-6707) and there is one in EDMOND at 334 S. Santa Fe Ave (341-7739).
Even though the links above only show shoes that go down to a woman's size 4 or so, you can find them much smaller.
The stores will carry mostly shoes with 1 1/2" to 2" size heels. If your girl is unsteady on heels go for the 1" heels. You'll more than likely have to special order them through whatever dance shop you go to. If nothing else you might be able to figure out what size your girl will wear in a 1" heel and order it yourself if it's cheaper. Buying the 1" heel might be a little more expensive but it's cheaper that putting a cast on a broken ankle.
Any girl who has feet that are actually to small for character shoes at all please get a black shoe with one strap that is NOT shiny. Basically try to get as close to the character shoe that we use as possible.
Next, the pair of black soft soled shoes. I prefer it if the girls go with a ballet shoe, jazz shoe or lyrical shoe. However, any soft black soled shoe is acceptable. For examples please see below.
